Why can't I run 18s on a 2020 BMW M2 Competition?

M2 Competition's 400mm front rotors — 18-inch wheels do not clear (380mm rotor conversion required). Minimum diameter is 19 inches; the front rotor is 400x36mm.

Source: BMW M Compound front brake 400x36mm (P/N 34118072018, option 2NH). APEX lists 19 inches as the minimum for the M2 Competition; Tire Rack's by-vehicle results for the 2020 M2 Competition show 19 and 20-inch only.

The M2 Competition inherits the F80 M3 drivetrain and its 400x36mm front brakes (P/N 34118072018, option 2NH).

That brake package sets a 19-inch minimum wheel diameter — an 18-inch wheel needs the 380mm Bimmerworld rotor conversion to clear.

The 2016-2018 M2 has 380mm front brakes and takes 18-inch wheels normally.

400 mm front rotors make every 18-inch wheel a hard NO on the front axle. The only route to 18s is the 380 mm conversion (Bimmerworld bracket + Paragon/GiroDisc 380x36 two-piece rotor; OEM 380 rotors do NOT work with the bracket). Front M Compound 400x36 mm, 6-piston fixed caliper (blue) — BMW P/N 34118072018, option 2NH, inherited from the F80 M3 / F82 M4, rear 380x30 mm, 4-piston.
